La Maison Rose is a famous Parisian restaurant, located in the heart of Montmartre. This pretty pink cafe is one of the most photographed spots in Paris – it's incredibly eye-catching with it's old world charm. There's just something incredibly romantic about this cafe next to its ivy draped neighbor. Visited on a morning in August 2021, I was able to photograph this beautiful building without the normal crowds – making the walk up a steep hill worth it.
Rebecca Derbak is a St. Louis based photographer who specializes in local and travel inspired photography, while also learning all about food photography. She took her first film photography class in high school and has been exploring the medium ever since. She has dabbled in various photography styles over the years before discovering her true passion for travel photography.
When traveling to a new place, rather than focusing on the famous monuments and buildings, she loves to seek out the quiet details that highlight the uniqueness. "I want my photos to tell a story. I want people to view my work and be transported and feel as if they know the energy of the location."
