Misty Mountain

Piece description from the artist

This photograph, which I captured in Alaska, explores the quiet power of nature through its raw, unfiltered landscape. The rugged mountains rise steeply from the glacier-fed waters, their slopes partially cloaked in mist, creating a mysterious and almost cinematic mood. I was inspired by the natural contrast between the smooth, icy water and the jagged rock faces, a visual tension that draws the eye and anchors the composition. Scattered ice floats on the surface, hinting at the unseen forces shaping this remote wilderness. The image conveys both isolation and majesty, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect on the vastness and resilience of the Alaskan terrain.
