Piece description from the artist
A striking view of the historic Cotter Bridge crossing the White River in Cotter, Arkansas. The iconic concrete "rainbow" arches of this six-span structure reflect boldly on the shimmering water below, creating a captivating mirrored scene. Built in 1929 and officially named the R.M. Ruthven Bridge, it was restored in 2002 and stands as a proud example of 1920s American engineering. At night, the bridge glows with beautiful illumination. A partly cloudy sky and nearby trees also reflect on the river’s surface, enhancing the tranquil, doubled effect of the landscape.
