This painting was inspired by images of political activism around the world that I saw in the press. Surrounded by the red inferno of his current circumstances, the protester flies his flag symbolizing hope for a better tomorrow. The dove flying through the flag represents peace and a new beginning.
Greg Weiss creates bold and energetic paintings. He is interested in images that convey movement, intensity, and excitement. Greg has held a life-long passion for art. His five-year exploration of figures in motion led to the publication in July 2016 of his first art book, Energy Is All Around: Paintings and Personal Reflections. Making his mark with a distinctive style, Greg uses luminous colors that bounce with rhythm, play, and precision. A member of the Katonah Museum Artists' Association, Greg regularly exhibits his art in Northern Westchester. Greg lives in Armonk, New York with his wife and two young children.
