A continuation of a series based on relationships and gender archetypes. Pulling from the Medusa narrative, this image establishes a push/pull relationship between men and women.
The work is a painting applied directly to an aluminum sheet. I have etched and sanded some of the figurative components into the piece.
Ingrid is an artist and educator working out of the Bay Area. She has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally in festivals, collections, and galleries. Ingrid functions in both the fine art and the commercial environment as a graphic designer and as a painter. Clients and collections range from ICME at Stanford University to individual collectors across the US. Her work as a visual communicator has taken her to the Czech Republic as a visual designer for the Prague Quadrennial where she worked collaboratively with sound engineers, dancers, and actors.
