Marine biome

Marine Biome

Piece description from the artist

A biome can be defined as ”a major community on earth with a predominant vegetation and adapted organisms to that particular environment.” It is the place where biodiversity and resilience are made and engineered (by nature).

The marine biome dominates the surface of the Earth, covering about three-quarters of the Earth’s surface area. The world’s oceans contain the richest diversity of species of any space on Earth. Rainwater for land areas is supplied by the evaporation of ocean waters. There are oceans, coral reefs, and estuaries.

The artwork has been designed with the golden ratio in mind and has the Pantone® colours Azure Blue, Bright White, Marine Blue and Sunlight.

About Jack Kruf

Breda, Netherlands

The dynamics and diversity of the forest and the city inspire me to reflect on good public governance and stewardship of society and nature. Educated as a forest ecologist and social psychologist at Wageningen University, I was able to serve society as a (city) manager and strategist, as well as nature conservation steward to protect and preserve their precious values. I fel in love with graphic design and colour management. I try to turn my impressions into expressions.
