Grassland biome

Grassland Biome

Piece description from the artist

A biome can be defined as ”a major community on earth with a predominant vegetation and adapted organisms to that particular environment.” It is the place where biodiversity and resilience are made and engineered (by nature).

Grasslands are characterized as lands dominated by grasses. Continental climate (hot and dry) is favourable for grasses rather than for large shrubs or trees. There are savannas, prairies and steppes.

The artwork has been designed with the golden ratio in mind and has the Pantone® colours Azure Blue, Grass Green, Jet Black, Pumice Stone and Sunlight.

About Jack Kruf

Breda, Netherlands

The dynamics and diversity of the forest and the city inspire me to reflect on good public governance and stewardship of society and nature. Educated as a forest ecologist and social psychologist at Wageningen University, I was able to serve society as a (city) manager and strategist, as well as nature conservation steward to protect and preserve their precious values. I fel in love with graphic design and colour management. I try to turn my impressions into expressions.
