There are places in this world where time folds in on itself like an old photograph left too long in the rain. One of those places was the clearing behind Pine Grove Hill, where the birches grew in a perfect circle and the air always seemed a few degrees colder than it should’ve been. That’s where Luna and Liam made their pact. They were seventeen, young enough to believe in forever, old enough to know it wouldn’t last. The world was darkening around them: wars on TV and sickness in town. But none of that mattered. Not then. They stood under the pale October moon, fingers interlaced, breath frosting between them. “If we’re ever lost,” Luna said, her voice trembling, “we’ll find each other here. No matter what. No matter when.” Liam nodded. “Even if it takes centuries.” It was a childish thing to say, but the wind seemed to hold its breath when he said it. Something listened. Something that didn’t forget. They died young. That’s how these stories usually go. A car crash off County Road 17, the paper said. Closed casket. The hill was quiet that year, too quiet. But sometimes, on still nights, people driving past would see two figures in the birch circle. Just shapes, casting shadows, standing hand in hand. And then time moved on. Centuries later, long after Pine Grove Hill was renamed “Crescent Ridge Estates” and the birches had been cut down to make room for vinyl-sided homes, two strangers met at an open house. Luna, though she didn’t go by that name anymore, felt a strange tug in her chest when she saw him. Liam, though he’d forgotten his dreams for years, swore he’d been there before. They both laughed it off. Déjà vu, maybe. But that night, when the moon rose, they dreamed of birches. Of frost. Of hands clasped in the cold. And when they woke, both of them found a mark on their wrist, a faint, silvery ring, like the trace of a long faded rope burn. Some loves don’t die. They just wait. And somewhere, deep beneath the concrete foundations of Crescent Ridge in Pine Grove, two voices whisper through the roots of the forgotten trees, keeping their pact.

Alicia says, her voice brimming with love.Her mother’s encouragement laid the foundation for Alicia's passionate pursuit of art, and this deep-rooted sense of gratitude continues to fuel her work. Each of Alicia’s paintings is more than just a visual experience it’s a story. A narrative born from her desire to transform the world into a beautiful, peaceful dream. Her art seamlessly blends the realms of imagination and nature, inviting viewers to embrace the boundless beauty of the world around them.

A true free spirit, Alicia refuses to be confined by any particular style. She considers herself an artist with no boundaries, a creator who works without limitations or rules. While she works in both oils and acrylics, Alicia particularly favors acrylics for their versatility and fast-drying properties, which allow her to experiment and evolve without delay.
