Several Lion's Mane Nudibranchs cling to kelp in the shallows around Vancouver Island. Every Autumn, millions of these gastropods inhabit the coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest.
For the first four years of his life, before his family decided to make a home in Florida, Montgomery Gilchrist was raised on a sailboat off the coast Central and South America. As an adult, he taught English in Tokyo for two years then subsequently settled in Manhattan. He is a world traveler and maintains a passionate interest in the ways different people live.
