Lincoln Statue Seated in Black and White

Piece description from the artist

Abraham Lincoln was my favorite President. He oversaw our country during it's most difficult times and never backed down from adversity. I've photographed his memorial many times, but this is one of my favorite images. During todays difficult times, his position on the national mall is almost pre-ordained…as if he is keeping an eye on the US Congress, making sure everything they do is done under his watchful eye. Sometimes I get a feeling of immense pride as he looks along the national mall, and other times I see disappointment. His features are profound when you consider the history and his impact on our nation. Original is matted white with black wooden frame.

He's is known for balking at the digital editing critics, saying "If a digital artist uses the computer to do all the work, then Ansel Adams used chemistry to do all his work. At the end of what ever process an artist uses, only an artist knows when to stop, step back and say…now thats what I wanted to convey" .
