Piece description from the artist
This piece reflects the journey from constant motion to intentional stillness, shaped by grief and self-discovery. Inspired by the overwhelming shift from small-town life to Portland's bustling downtown, and the quiet moments found in unexpected places, it honors the lessons of sitting still and listening to the body. The handmade frame, painted with a color drawn from the artwork’s palette, creates a space to hold these reflections in time.
