Piece description from the artist
This painting was a a triple portrait of a dear old friend and my daughter, who is painted 2×. A horrible custody battle with my ex took place while I was going to class at ASU. My friend in this painting was a steadfast mediator and support during the custody trial. He even testified on the stand. To honor my friends efforts during this difficult time I painted him next to my daughter's double portrait in a collage-like fashion. He ensured that I was able to see my little girl as her dad tried to destroy my life.
