Kanarra Falls Trail Beauty

I couldn't help but admire this beautiful red rock cliff along the Kanarra Falls hiking trail in Spring Creek Canyon near Kanarraville, Utah. The towering sandstone walls features dramatic textures and formations as a blue sky with soft white clouds drift overhead, creating the kind of classic Southern Utah scenery that never gets old.

For this vertical composition, I included a section of the hiking trail in the foreground, allowing it to naturally lead the eye toward the impressive cliffs. The four-mile round-trip hike follows Kanarra Creek through the canyon, and much of the adventure involves wading through the cool, spring-fed water that makes this trail so memorable.

I love how the afternoon sunlight filtered through the trees, making the fresh green leaves glow against the warm red and orange sandstone. The combination of colorful foliage, rugged cliffs, and bright skies made this a scene I simply had to capture. Moments like this are what make exploring Utah's canyon country such an unforgettable experience.
