The iconic Mountain goats at Mt. Blue Sky, have been photographed for many years. I've tried to capture a different view of these beautiful, but feisty creatures. This capture is different, because the goats are usually captured while trying to flee humans. I wanted to capture some moms just resign while keeping watch on the babes. Also the black and white processing seems to enable the viewer to focus in on the softness and undisturbed moment.
Barbara has been exposed to art and creativity, her entire life! Her mother was an oil painter and her grandfather, not only an MD, but a talented artist as well. At the age of 16, Barbara found her creative passion looking through the lens of a Canon camera. She has been a photographer from that point on, finding subject matter from the gritty streets of Manhattan, to the alpine environment of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She feels most at home now, among big horned sheep, moose and mountains of Colorado!
