I enjoy finding the balance between realism and abstraction. Here I wanted the figure to feel at peace within a field of color rather than simply standing in a landscape. Loose, expressive brushstrokes allow the flowers and background to blend into a vibrant, unified composition while the figure remains the quiet focal point.
