High Plains Summer

Piece description from the artist

Yes, Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the US, and yes Iconic scenes of such as Maroon Bells are incredible, but there is so much more beauty to be captured! I try to present in my work, some of the places that individuals outside of Colorado rarely see. This capture is one such photograph. Deep within the high plains, where cattle free-graze, among the myriad of elk, mountain lions, badgers, birds of prey, and more, roam this vast and verdant ecosystem! This area was once volcanic, so the rocks and landscape reflect this history! I have photographed this rock formation so many times that my sons now call these, "Mom's Rocks"!
