Heron Alabama Coastal Dawn Fishing

Before sunrise, a great blue heron stands poised along the shoreline of Orange Beach, focused on the water as it hunts along the Gulf Coast. Off to the left, a fishing pier stretches into the Gulf of Mexico (Gulf Of America), against the soft morning light.

In this moment, a wave has surged up onto the shore, surrounding the heron as water flows around its legs. Foam gathers along the edges, creating a dynamic contrast against the smooth, sand and rollling waves. Captured with a slower exposure, the motion of the water appears soft and fluid, enhancing the sense of movement while the heron remains steady and still.

Above, early dawn colors of purple, pink, and blue fill the sky, with gentle clouds adding texture to the scene. The combination of motion and stillness creates a striking and peaceful coastal moment at the start of a new day.
