Piece description from the artist
In any photograph of an old farmhouse, I seek to capture the quiet dignity of the vastness of the Montana prairie. The setting sun, a final blaze of gold on the horizon, silhouettes the derelict farmhouse against a moody, cloudy sky, creating a stark contrast between the resilient history etched into the wood and the transient beauty of the light. It is a meditation on the passage of time, where the last warm rays of the day seem to embrace the lonely structure, offering a moment of poignant reflection amidst the sweeping, untouched expanse of the landscape. I love to think about how many beautiful sunsets have turned the wood of this old house a dark, weathered brown. The kind of character that only time can make authentic.
