As the sun dips below the horizon, the Grand Canyon transforms into a canvas of fiery orange, soft yellows, and deep blues. Viewed from Yavapai Point on the South Rim, the canyon walls stretch endlessly into the distance, bathed in dramatic light and shadow with a shroud of drifting smoke from the Dragon Bravo wildfire on the North Rim. This breathtaking sunset view captures the immense scale, layered geology, and the timeless beauty of the American Southwest.
Brian Kerls is a Colorado landscape photographer whose images of the raw beauty and quiet drama of the world around us are deeply rooted in his life-long love of adventure and exploration.
