This photograph captures the bold golden morning sunlight illuminating the Omaha, Nebraska city skyline and the iconic Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. The city’s reflection glows across the calm waters of the Missouri River, which divides the states of Iowa and Nebraska. I captured this view from the bridge, looking over the railing, as the warm light enhanced the curves of the bridge’s sleek suspension cables. Stretching about 3,000 feet long, this unique cable suspension footbridge gently sways with each passing runner or cyclist, creating a dynamic connection between Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Omaha, NE.
