Piece description from the artist
A vertical view as the sun goes down behind me, it casted a golden glow on the concrete columns of the Bill Emerson Memorial cable-stayed suspension bridge in Cape Girardeau Missouri, United States. Below the bridge is the Mississippi River which is flooded from heavy rains. Built in 2004, it replaced the previous 1929 bridge. The road is highway 74 and it connects the states of Missouri and Illinois. It s named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the US House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. It was also featured in the movie "Gone Girl" in 2014.
