Piece description from the artist
This photograph showcases the historic red Topaz Mill along with the old general store in Cabool, Missouri, United States. The current grist mill, built in 1895, replaced an earlier mill from 1840 that they don't have much information on. Beside it stands the white wooden building that once served as both the general store and post office for the small rural community. A gravel road runs in front of the mill and store, leading toward a crossing over the nearby North Fork River. I captured this view during the autumn season, when the Ozarks landscape within the Mark Twain National Forest was showing its fall colors.
