A bench beside a tree offers a great spot to sit and enjoy the view of Lake Powell in Page, Arizona. In the distance in the slight haze, you can see some mountains and rock formations. You can also see Wahweap Marina, the largest on the lake. The soft blue sky contrasts with the deep blue water of the majestic lake. Lake Powell was created by the flooding of Glen Canyon by the Glen Canyon Dam, which also led to the 1972 creation of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, a popular summer destination of public land managed by the National Park Service. The surface area at full pool is 161,000 acres. It is the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States.
