Piece description from the artist
I love this beautiful autumn view of fishermen standing in the spring fed river at Bennett Spring State Park in Bennett Springs, Missouri, fly fishing for trout. This river fully comes from the natural spring, making this scene especially fascinating to me.
The sunlight gently illuminates the colorful fall trees along the riverbank, bringing out their vibrant autumn colors. Located in the Missouri Ozarks near Lebanon, Bennett Spring is one of Missouri’s earliest state parks and a well known destination for trout fishing.
The spring produces around 100 million gallons of water every day. I love how this photograph captures the connection between the powerful natural spring, autumn foliage, flowing water, and fishermen enjoying one of the Ozarks’ beautiful outdoor traditions.
