Final vestiges

Final Vestiges

Piece description from the artist

I had been searching for this scene for several seasons before it finally manifested in mid October of a Colorado Rocky Mountain Autumn. The image is poignant for me. The Final Vestiges of autumn show the lone tree gripping the warmth of milder seasons before the unstoppable winter consumes the landscape for another season. Standing against the imminent change, the lone aspen glows in quaking golds and yellows. A visual allegory of human loneliness, independence, and solitude.
