Piece description from the artist
What a beautiful fall afternoon to photograph the peaceful river flowing from the natural spring at Bennett Spring State Park in Missouri. The colorful autumn trees frame the water, with patches of blue sky reflecting across the surface. In the distance, some fishermen can be seen fly fishing for trout near the historic stone Gauge House building, adding a wonderful sense of activity to this peaceful Ozarks scene.
Located near Lebanon, Missouri, this is one of Missouri’s earliest state parks and a popular destination for trout fishing, nature, and outdoor photography. The natural spring produces an incredible 100 million gallons of water each day, feeding the clear stream that winds through the park.
I love how this photo captures the beauty of the Missouri Ozarks during fall, from the vibrant foliage and reflections on the water to the fishermen enjoying one of the area’s most popular outdoor traditions.
