Piece description from the artist
A black and white photo with a twisted juniper cedar tree reaching toward the clear sky in this morning scene from the Windows Section of Arches National Park in Moab, Utah, USA. In the background, both the North and South Window Arch formations are visible, adding depth to the desert landscape. Captured just as the morning sun began to rise, most of the terrain remained in shadow while a soft flare of sunlight peeked through the opening of North Window Arch, creating a striking contrast of light and form in this iconic red rock desert landscape setting.
