Fall At Joe Dice Swinging Bridge Painterly

Piece description from the artist

This photo-turned-painting captures a scenic view of Harry S. Truman Lake and the historic Joe Dice Swinging Bridge in Warsaw, Missouri, USA, beautifully framed by vibrant fall foliage. Truman Lake, also known as the Harry S. Truman Reservoir, is the largest man-made lake in Missouri. The iconic swinging bridge—often called the “Upper Bridge”—was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 and stands as the last remaining of 15 swinging bridges that once spanned the Osage River, connecting the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico. I transformed my original photo into a textured watercolor-style painting to give it a warm, artistic touch that highlights the charm of this historic Ozarks landmark.
