Fade road

Fade Road

Piece description from the artist

On I-25 Northbound from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, the landscape is riddled with the spirit of Americana, and the vast high desert. It is beautiful in all its subversive history. This scene of a fading dirt road leading to the horizon underneath a stormy desert sky spoke to me about the pioneering spirit that drove discovery and destruction in this part of the world. It's a story littered with beauty and treachery, much like the landscape and the storm beyond. These competing aspects of this zone create a beautiful patina to consider our own lives by.
