Entering Mount Rushmore American Flag Text

After passing through the main entrance of Mount Rushmore National Memorial, you are greeted by another impressive stone gateway with the famous granite carving high above the landscape. In this photo version, I replaced the sky with an American Flag Photo I took along with a photo of a Bald Eagle I also took. I added the text "Mount Rushmore" on the wall.

This is located near Keystone, South Dakota, in the heart of the Black Hills, this first breathtaking view of the monument creates a memorable introduction to one of America's most iconic landmarks.

Towering above the wall are the carved faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. These four presidents were selected to represent the nation's birth, growth, development, and preservation, making it a remarkable artistic achievement and a lasting tribute to American history. Seeing the monument emerge beyond the entrance is an unforgettable moment that fills visitors with awe and appreciation for the craftsmanship and significance of this national memorial. We went in the morning to beat the crowds in May 2026, the same year as the 250th anniversary.
