The morning sun bursts into a brilliant star of light as it rises above the horizon, just beneath the branches of a sprawling oak tree on a quiet country farm between Sparta and Ava, Missouri, USA. I captured this view while standing along a gravel road beside an open field on a crisp autumn morning. The soft golden light of sunrise illuminated the landscape and enhancing the warmth of the fall colors. Located in the heart of the Ozarks, the small town of Ava, just southwest of Springfield, offers peaceful rural scenery that feels timeless. There’s something special about October sunrises; their glow seems richer, their colors more radiant, and their stillness unforgettable.
