My minimal abstract expressionism art is focused on the idea of embracing imperfections. It’s about finding beauty in the unexpected and celebrating the spontaneity of the creative process. A balance between something beautiful and something that feels raw and unfinished.
I intentionally leave the underlying layers and marks visible in my paintings as I am drawn to the remnants of earlier moments. Each artwork in this series has taught me something about myself, leading me to aim for a sense of mystery and eliciting a particular feeling from the observer.
