Piece description from the artist
Waves roll in along the coastline towards a large piece of driftwood from what looks like the remains of a tree trunk on West Perdido Key Beach in Perdido Key, Florida, USA. In the distance, deep blue storm clouds drift across the Gulf of Mexico, also known as the Gulf of America, with a visible curtain of rain falling over the Emerald Coast waters. Along the shore, wave edges lace with foam before slowly retreating back into the gulf. The blend of calm surf, dramatic skies and the chunk of wood, creates a scene that feels both peaceful and beautifully dynamic.
