This watercolor is the first and beginning of the beach series. Amazing additional pieces to the series yet to come. Dogwood Beach Access is a beautiful beach in Southern Shores NC. Beautiful area for vacation. Private and a view of the original Outer Banks. This should be on every bucket list!
Originally from the city of Scranton PA, Kristopher studied at Keystone College and Marywood University with a degree in studio art, specializing in drawing and painting. During this time, he received promising artist awards and had artwork dispalyed in many shows. Kristopher's began his love and skill for art at a young age.
Throughout his years at the university, he explored sculpture, jewelery making, bronze casting and metal work among others. Kristopher has since been inspired and influenced by "Rembrandt":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rembrandt, "Monet":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Monet, "Dali":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dal%C3%AD and his all time favorite "Georges Seurat":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Seurat. He often works in black and white, adding color sparingly.
Today, Kristopher Lake resides in Kitty Hawk NC.
Beach and Bay Influences have begun to show in watercolors, charcoal, and oil paintings.
