Dancer 5

Dancer

Piece description from the artist

This painting is an homage to Isadora Duncan, arguably the first modern dancer. Born on May 27, 1877, Isadora was free-spirited to the core and believed movement comes from within, like rays emanating from the sun. Bathed in light, the twirling, leaping dancer with lifted arms is holding a ball that represents the circle of life.
