Piece description from the artist
My most favorite place to photograph in Colorado is above timberline, where there are no trees. It's amazing to see that abrupt cutoff of trees then no trees! In the summer, wildflowers are so abundant and colorful! At 13 thousand feet and above, everything is far more intense including weather. On this hike, the colors of fall were surrounding, but winter was definitely make it's presence known as you can see with the highest peaks dipped in snow!
Barbara has been exposed to art and creativity, her entire life! Her mother was an oil painter and her grandfather, not only an MD, but a talented artist as well. At the age of 16, Barbara found her creative passion looking through the lens of a Canon camera. She has be a photographer from that point on, finding subject matter from the gritty streets of Manhattan, to the alpine environment of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She feels most at home now, among big horned sheep, moose and mountains of Colorado!
