I've always thought that the enduring presence of rural agricultural heritage lives on through the weathered silhouette of an old grain elevator. The contrast between the cool, twilight tones of the sky and the warm, golden light catching the lower structures creates a nostalgic atmosphere, highlighting the beauty found in working rural landscapes. The worn, patinaed surface of the Molt Farmers Elevator Co. building stands as a testament to time, hard work, and community resilience. This piece invites the viewer to reflect on the quiet, steady dignity of small-town roots and the timeless stories embedded in the architecture of the heartland.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
