Piece description from the artist
This composition was a deeply personal exercise for me. I began this illustration the month that my fiance moved several states away to start a new job. It is meant as a collage of motifs that speak to love and yearning, connection over great distance, a scrapbook of personal symbols, and documentation of shared places from the past.
