Colorado Calm Of Twilight

A peaceful blue hour settles over Mesa Overlook in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as the last light of sunset fades from the sky. I captured this beautiful evening view from the edge of the overlook, where Gray Rock in Garden of the Gods stands in front of the majestic Rocky mountains, and 30th Street runs through the landscape down below. You can even see the moon. Soft pink and purple clouds drift gracefully overhead, adding a gentle splash of color to the deepening blue sky. The fading light creates a calm atmosphere, transforming the rugged landscape into a quiet scene that invites you to pause and simply take it all in. Blue hour has always been one of my favorite times to photograph landscapes. As daylight gives way to twilight, the changing colors and peaceful stillness create a mood that's difficult to experience at any other time of day. Standing here, watching the evening come to a close, was the perfect way to end another unforgettable day exploring Colorado's beautiful scenery.
