Piece description from the artist
This series focuses on early evening, morning and night scenes with a special emphasis on lights, mostly in New York City locations. I particularly enjoy the challenge of long exposure photography, which can add some magical touches to a composition. This capture highlights a blurred, impressionistic scene of automobile lights during rush hour as evening falls.
Kenneth focuses cityscapes, street photography and landscapes, particularly using low light and long exposure techniques. His work also features black and white photography, especially emphasizing a cinema noir atmosphere.
Kenneth's work has been included in the Saatchi ARTPARIS exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris and has been shown in venues in the U.S. and internationally. Highlights include "The Haunted Gallery" (Chashama Gallery, NY), "Points of View"(1199SEIU Gallery, NY), "Imagine" (The Cell Gallery, NY), the Salmagundi Art Club's Photography and Graphics exhibition (NY), and Long Island Photo Gallery's "Street Life" exhibition (NY). Additionally, his photo "Urban Nature NY" is featured as cover art on the book, "Still the Same Hawk: Reflections on Nature and New York" (Fordham Press). Kenneth has twice won the first place prize in the Canon "Imagine" magazine "Take Your Best Shot" contest. His photo essay, "The Only Way is Up," was featured in Nikon's "N-Photo" Magazine. Several of Kenneth's photos were recently selected in international competitions to be exhibited in galleries including: Sparks Gallery (San Diego, California), Space Art Gallery (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), BBA Gallery (Berlin), Valid World Hall (Barcelona), the Espacio El Dorado gallery (Bogota).
