A detailed botanical macro study focusing on the leaf geometry and natural pigmentation of cultivated tropical foliage. Fine parallel veins sweep across the leaf surface, split by a bold central stripe of rich natural pigment. Soft, diffused lighting highlights the organic curve and smooth tactile surface, creating a quiet, contemporary study in biophilic design.
From the smallest details of macro to the vast panorama of a landscape, with a quick stop off at many subjects in between, Rick's passion for detail and capturing the moment has inspired him to shoot many different genres. He enjoys traveling to different parts of the world and will take his camera, even on work trips. More recently, he has been practicing creating artistic renditions of his photograph.
