Piece description from the artist
A small stack of rocks, a quiet cairn, sits in the foreground along the shoreline of Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri captured from a lower point of view that brings you closer to the moment. Beyond it, the lake stretches into the distance, its calm waters gently rippling under a peaceful Ozarks partly cloudy sky with white fluffy cumulus clouds.
There’s something grounding about seeing it from this angle, closer to the earth, closer to the water. I’ve always felt drawn to water for its quiet beauty, yet there’s a part of me that respects its strength and unpredictability. It’s that mix of calm and power that makes scenes like this so meaningful. Just southwest of Branson, this is one of those simple, peaceful moments that stays with you.
