Burdocks

Piece description from the artist

I remember as a child running through fields that seemed endless. However, to reach those fields, I usually had to fight my way through a hedgerow and invariably I would come out covered with seed pods. These little “balls of terror” attached themselves to any part of clothing they could and would not let go! Funny thing is after what seemed like forever to remove every tentacle, not once did I ever see them in their early and beautiful stage of life. Well, while on a walk several decades later, I was blessed to see what these looked like in all their splendor. Soft and inviting, I couldn’t resist. I was quite pleased with the outcome, but I definitely kept my distance!

About David Gibides

Norristown, PA

David Gibides is a professional fine art photographer who brings people hope. With over 15,000 hours in the field and studio, he transports people to a place of love, joy, peace, and hope – pixel by pixel. He shares God’s creation Up Close and Personal. Mostly self-taught, David has perfected the use of composition, light, and color, with shallow depth of field, which brings his audience closer to the Creator, into His world. The exquisite beauty and detail revealed are something they might never have experienced otherwise. Presenting the photos in an oversized format as he does, one can’t help but stop and be awestruck at what they see before them. They are images that touch the soul. Ultimately, David wishes to adorn the lobbies, and walls of health care centers, doctors offices and more to spread hope, joy, peace and love.
