Piece description from the artist
This is a still life inspired by friendship. The beautiful green batik fabric is from a close Hawaiian friend who has since left and gone back to Honolulu. The yellow iconic Buddha head is a wax sculpture that I made years ago. The butterfly cups are still in my studio. I paint them frequently and remember my friend from Hawaii.
