Piece description from the artist
In this vertical photograph, I framed some orange limestone rock formations and mountains between tall pine trees while a fallen tree lays on the ground acting like a guardrail on the edge of a cliff at the Black Birch Canyon area of Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah, United States. The mountains in the distance are part of Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. The broken stubbed branches from the log lift it up off of the ground like little anchors. Some clouds in the sky add softness to the rugged landscape.
