At the heart of my work is having this need to invent. One day I was looking through some old paintings I had rolled up and stuck in the corner of my studio. I liked some of them and some I did not so I thought I'd take them apart in strips and put them back together to see what develops. I'm using deconstruction and reformation to create pieces that hopefully offer a new visual experience
Don’s work is a crossover between pure abstraction and references to the natural world. Color and texture are key elements in his work. His effort is to play with chaos and create balance through layers of transparent color and hue.
