I started digital drawing in 2013 as a way to relax in between my acrylic painting on canvas and wood. After editing my 2d pieces and filing them, there was a way to play digitally that was not available to me as a traditional artist. The manipulating of digital paint was very inventive, fresh, and invigorating.
Don’s work is a crossover between pure abstraction and references to the natural world. Color and texture are key elements in his work. His effort is to play with chaos and create balance through layers of transparent color and hue.
