Upon first glance Bone Dry depicts a sandy parched desert with an monolithic animal skeleton; but this photo was actually taken at a cool Northern Califonia beach. To me, this bone structure represents the circle of life. The beauty of this death is that it has become a natural shelter for other animals — giving these animals the ability to live a longer life.
Blaise Roy Ormond is a multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Blaise began shooting film photography as a hobby in 2017 after completing his Master’s degree in Media Ventures from Boston University. Over the years, as the world of photography continued to trend more digital, he became passionate about revitalizing tangible art with analog technology. This passion has inspired Blaise to shoot photography exclusively with 110 film and capture that nostalgic essence on vintage cameras.
