Piece description from the artist
This fine art photograph captures the Public Square Historic District in downtown Springfield, Missouri, during the peaceful blue hour twilight during the fall season. Also known as Park Central Square, this landmark location lies along the famous Route 66 Byway, making it a must-see destination for travelers and history lovers. The scene highlights historic architecture with buildings dating from 1890 to 1959, many of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In the background, the prominent 7-story Heers Tower, originally built in 1915 as the Heers Department Store, rises above the square, showcasing the enduring charm of Springfield’s skyline. A large historic water fountain sprays water high into the air in front of the History Museum sign. This professional photograph is perfect for collectors of Route 66 photography, historic architecture prints, or Missouri wall art.
