A great blue heron stands quietly along the shoreline of Orange Beach, Alabama, fishing before sunrise during the tranquil blue hour. Captured with a long exposure, the heron remains perfectly still while the surrounding waves soften into a gentle blur, emphasizing the contrast between motion and calm.
Set along the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico, also known as the Gulf of America, the wet shoreline reflects the heron’s silhouette in a subtle, dreamlike way. A few scattered clouds drift across the early morning sky, completing this peaceful coastal scene where wildlife and water meet in perfect balance.
